Saved through faith in Christ "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of GOD, not of works, that no one should boast." EPHESIANS 2:8-9 FAITH MEANS TRUST. Q: What must you trust Christ for? A: You must depend on him alone to forgive you and give you eternal life. It's no different that trusting gravity to keep you from floating off the earth, or like how you trust a chair to hold you through no effort of your own. BUT YOU MAY SAY: These are all good, but good living, going to church, helping the poor or any other good thing you might do cannot save you and get you to heaven. You MUST trust Christ.
